Cookie Policy

Status: Ready for review

Version: 1.1

Effective date: July 2026

Audience: Website visitors and Portal users

Plain English. No jargon. Just a clear explanation of the cookies Tru-Digital Services Limited uses across Tru-Digital Services, Tru Data Protection and related websites.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as your preferences or session state — to make the experience smoother.

Cookies are not harmful. They cannot run programmes or carry viruses. They simply help websites work as intended.

2. What cookies we use

We keep our cookie use to a minimum. Our public website currently uses essential cookies only.

Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They do not track you or collect personal data for marketing purposes. Under UK PECR, essential cookies do not require your consent.

What we do not currently use

We do not currently use:

  • analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics;
  • marketing or advertising cookies;
  • social media tracking pixels;
  • profiling or behavioural tracking cookies.

3. Hosting, security and delivery

Our website may be delivered using hosting and delivery services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront, to host and deliver website content securely and quickly.

We aim to avoid non-essential cookies. Where any strictly necessary cookies are used, they support core site functionality and security and do not exist for advertising or profiling.

4. Contact forms and enquiries

When you submit a contact form, we collect the information you provide, such as name, email and message. This data is used to respond to your enquiry and may be stored in our secure systems.

Submitting a form does not require marketing cookies.

5. Portal and logged-in services

This Cookie Policy covers our public websites. If you use our Portal or other logged-in services, strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies may be used for login, session management, security, access control and audit purposes.

These are required to provide secure access and are not used for advertising or profiling.

6. Your cookie choices

If we use a cookie banner or consent tool in the future, you can manage preferences through the on-site controls.

Browser settings

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • view cookies currently stored;
  • block cookies from specific sites;
  • block all third-party cookies; and
  • clear all cookies when you close the browser.

How to manage cookies in common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Please note: blocking essential cookies may affect how the website or Portal functions.

7. Future changes to cookie use

If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, for example analytics to help us improve the site, we will:

  • ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies;
  • explain clearly what each cookie does and why;
  • give you a genuine choice to accept or decline; and
  • make it as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it.

We will update this policy and notify you of any material changes.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • the cookies we use;
  • legal requirements, including UK PECR and UK GDPR; and
  • best practice guidance from the ICO.

The effective date at the top of this page will always show when it was last updated.
